Collaborative Pianist - ELIZABETH BLOOD
ELIZABETH BLOOD is excited to be joining the Concord Chorale as as its Collaborative Pianist. She enjoys a multifaceted career as a pianist, educator and church musician and holds a B.M. degree from Northwestern University as well as two M.M. degrees from Florida State University in Accompanying/Chamber Music and Opera Coaching.
Elizabeth currently serves as a Resident Artist/Staff Accompanist at UNH and is on the faculties of St. Anselm College and the Manchester Community Music School. She has served as a collaborative pianist for the Opera in the Ozarks (AK), the Barga Institute (Italy) and the American Institute of Musical Studies (Graz, Austria). An active freelance musician, performances in the Greater Boston area include collaborations with Opera Providence, Boston Midsummer Opera, New England Light Opera and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. NH appearances include performances at Dartmouth College, the Currier Museum of Art and the St. Gaudens National Historic Site.
A NH native and lifelong choral singer, Elizabeth especially enjoys collaborating with singers and choirs. In NH, she has served as the pianist for the NH All-State Festival Treble Choir, NH NAfME (National Association for Music Educators) middle school festival choirs, SYMS (Summer Youth Music School, offered by the UNH Music Department) choirs, the UNH Vocal Arts Project, and NH NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competitions. As a choral singer, she has been a member of the NH Master Chorale, the Manchester Choral Society and the Florida State University Chamber Choir.
From 2008-2016, she served as the Music Director at Christ the King Lutheran Church (Nashua, NH), and has served as a church musician in FL, GA and IL. She also served as a Board Member of Church Music Forward, an ecumenical organization dedicated to “preserving traditions with imagination” in church music. Elizabeth lives in Manchester, NH with her husband, Romeo. Beyond her musical pursuits, she is a voracious reader, an avid walker and an enthusiastic Italian student.
