C-NOTES 12/3/11 (w/ corrections)
REHEARSAL NOTES
Put your music in concert order!
Magnificat: Practice singing it faster. Be joyful! This is a Baroque dance. Review measure 107 to the end. Memorize the last page. Measure 50-85: keep the energy up! Measure 84-end:
Grace Before Sleep: Tall vowels, very legato.
Sing, Sing: Practice the text. There is a lot of it! Mark in your score where you only sing Bah or Bum so that you can look up during though sections! Try to write in some cues for yourself about what section is coming next so you don’t feel afraid to look up.
Memorize Vivaldi Movements 1, 4, 5, 7, 11
Do some crafting to make sure you can go smoothly from the Carol Suite to Sing Choir of Angels!
Review page 27-28 in the Carol Suite – practice the German.

FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
My heart is full as we approach our first in-person concert in almost two years! Thanks to you all for your passion, positivity, and perseverance! Thanks to Jenny for her incredible energy and optimism that, in turn, energize us. Thanks to Liya for her competent accompaniment and whimsical interludes that make us laugh and remember to have fun. Thanks to BJ and the Doc Posse for giving us the facts so we can make rational decisions. Thanks to Liz Mac for her multitasking skills and tenacity in the face of technical issues. I could go on, but please know that everyone is playing a part to make this happen. I am excited, and a little scared – we have a lot of moving parts – but I, too, am optimistic about Gloria! The music is beautiful, the holiday season is here, and.wait…
Are those sleigh bells? Nope. Just my conscience telling me to go practice!!
