REHEARSAL NOTES Bach: We spent most of the rehearsal on the Bach. Write in the translations at the beginning of each movement so you know what you’re singing about. The translations are in the program notes. Mvt 1: m. 57 (Vivace) to the end. Remember to emphasize the first, not the second, syllable in STIM-me. You’re interrupting every time you say Herr at the beginning of a phrase. Enter assertively. Mvt 2: Review this, sopranos. Mvt 3: Ich Hoffe means, “I hope.” Sing it gently like you’re saying it to yourself. Mvt 5: m. 21 (Allegro). Sing the runs rhythmically with the phrasing Jenny noted. Heavenly Hurt: mvt 3, watch your cutoffs. Review at rehearsal J and K. Sopranos, be confident in your entrance at L. Psalm 61: Review m. 25-end. |

MASKS REQUIRED AT CONCERT Because of the rising COVID numbers due to the Omicron BA 2 variant, we will require masks for singing for our concert. We look forward to the day when we do not significantly risk our health and that of others to sing without them. |
|
CONCERT ATTIRE Our traditional attire is black formal wear for all members. If you choose to wear a suit jacket or tuxedo, please wear a black shirt and black tie. Jenny will provide boutonnieres to all of us. |
